DeLorean's Alpha5 production is cut drastically. Initially aiming for 9,531 units, they'll now build 4,000. Reservations are NFT-based, with rising prices. Is this a sign of trouble, or a necessary adjustment?
They said the supply chain constraints are the reason for the reduced production. I guess the company wants to sell only the number of cars they are sure they can build on time, rather than saying they would sell more cars, but fail to deliver them.
Cutting production by more than half isn’t a great sign. Rising NFT-based reservation costs make it feel more like a money grab than a real car launch.
