Alpha5 is like a Delorean do-over?

Are we actually going to see an Alpha5 on the road? We've seen countless Delorean resurrections fizzle out, and even with Kat's C8-chassis-meets-new-skin approach, it feels like a long shot. Anyone else getting flashbacks to previous failed attempts? What's the one thing Delorean could do to actually convince us this time around? And is using a C8 platform a clever move, or just another shortcut that'll lead to nowhere?

I highly doubt it will ever come to fruition. I do like Kat DeLorean's version, it feels like it could be a spiritual successor but I’m skeptical overall. The bigger company struggled, even with major movie tie-ins. Without substantial corporate support, I just don’t see a DeLorean making it. I hope I’m proven wrong, though.
