As of February 2025, DeLorean Motor Company has not officially announced the retail pricing for the Alpha5 electric sports car. Earlier estimates suggested a price around $125,000, aligning it with luxury electric vehicles like the Porsche Taycan Turbo, which starts at approximately $119,900.

If DeLorean really prices the Alpha5 around $125K, it better have the performance to back it up. The nostalgia factor is strong, but nostalgia doesn’t win drag races. Competing with the Taycan Turbo & Lucid Air is no joke. Will the limited production make it a collector’s item, or just another expensive EV? I hope DeLorean pulls this off, but I think they need to prove themselves first before asking for supercar money.
